At St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, we answer our Lord's call to pray, reconcile, and offer help and hope to those in need.

Samaritans

The Samaritans of St. Augustine's

Originally organized in 1979 as "The Young Adults" by parish members then in their twenties, the Samaritans have spent over four decades in steadfast service to both the church and the surrounding community. Grounded in fellowship and outreach, the group holds monthly meetings that seamlessly blend organizational planning with opportunities for warm socializing.

Community Outreach & Support

The Samaritans sponsor a variety of vital fund-raisers and seasonal drives throughout the year to support outreach programs within and beyond the parish:

Seasonal Care Drives: Contributing to organizations who provide food to families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons each year.

Celebration Receptions: Sponsoring special parish receptions to honor mothers on Mother's Day and fathers on Father's Day.

Auto Bell Car Wash Fund-raiser: An annual event dedicated to raising critical funds for church projects and community assistance.

Key Milestones & Recognition

Community Birthday Calendar: Now in its 43rd year of publication, this cornerstone service project serves as a wonderful community tradition and a key source of funding for the group's outreach ministries.

Honoring Graduates: The Samaritans take pride in annually celebrating and honoring the achievements of high school and college graduates within the parish.

Our Motto: "Hands of Service, Hearts of Love."
